Bishop Carmody prays for the Cleveland Cavs!

Aah ... now that's what we call a sensational headline.  The NY Post would be proud  OK ... Now I better explain myself.  Tonight Bishop Edmond Carmody confirmed a couple dozen people at Most Precious Blood Parish.

Now during his homily he was talking about heroes ... and he got into talking about the Spurs and how he was happy that the Spurs were back in the finals.  He than made the comment they'll play Cleveland or Detroit, but was praying for Cleveland.  I guess his Excellency thinks the Cavs won't be as tough as the Pistons.  Well as a Cavs fan who's never seen the team in the finals... I'll take his prayers and roll the dice at that point.

Boston Legal

It's only 9:08 and I'm tearing up from the hilarity of Boston Legal.  It's by far one of the funniest shows on TV.  Here's what I like about it:  It tackles some tough issues, but do it in a damn funny way.  It attacks both liberals and conservatives, it's totally politically incorrect, it's occasionally talks to the 4th wall (the viewers) and has very interesting characters.

Tonight's episode was the wedding ... the priest was arrested for harboring a illegal alien and her US born son.  The bride went into labor ... and a client wants to keep a service duck.

Denny Crane (William Shatner) just barged into the room with the duck and fired a rifle.  It had a blank,  "Just Kidding" he said.  Absolutely priceless.

I could blog the rest of this show, but it's hard to type while cracking up.

Wating for weather

We seem to miss all the drama in S. Texas.  Every time it storms in Texas, I get calls from the family wondering if my head is between my knees inside the closet.  (I have to remind them Texas is a very big place.)

Our weather guys say it will come in overnight, so I can expect an early wake up call. Our web site management tool is getting an offline upgrade, which always makes me a little antsy.  I need to work up a back up plan before I go to bed.

Anyway weather gets my Adrenalin pumping ... it's fun to cover.  I never want anyone to get hurt, just like to enjoy the light show.
